We have been manufacturing and selling our own Green Zone Bikes brand folding bikes since 2001 at www.greenzonebikes.com. From all of that experience and through trial and error, we have been able to establish relationships and partner directly with some of the best overseas factories in the world. Our goal then and now has always been to offer our customers quality products at tremendous savings. Around 2010, my family moved into a waterfront community that allows canoes, pedal boats and other types of larger boats, but restricts all of them to be electric motors only that produce no wake. I decided to purchase a pedal boat for my family to pedal around the lake. It was fun, but a lot more work than we all anticipated. Next, I purchased a 10’ flat-bottom boat with an electric trolling motor for cruising around the lake. This was easier and more fun than the pedal boat, but having to turn around and steer the boat by the motor made it less enjoyable. That is when I decided it was time to take the plunge and check out some of the nice larger boats I had been seeing while I was on the water and passing by my house. They looked more like a regular boat but still satisfied the HOA requirements of having an electric motor that produced no wake. To my surprise, they were hard to find; and when I finally did find some, the cost was similar to buying a car. Suddenly, my flat-bottom boat wasn’t looking so bad. Not one to be deterred, I decided to use my established relationships overseas and was introduced to one of the leading electric boat manufacturers. After several visits to their factory, I was able to partner up with them to design and produce our very own Green Zone Boats at about one-third of the price. Now, I will be able to offer electric boats at a more affordable price, which will, hopefully, provide your family, friends and neighbors the fun and enjoyment of cruising around your neighborhood lakes the same way it has for my family.
