Just as we did with the BOOT Düsseldorf show, we will be writing in the next week about some exciting news from some of these exhibitors – (including one world premier).

GLB Nordica is an innovation company that focuses on making life better in everyday life by developing solutions to, in many cases, simple but equally annoying everyday problems.

The first problems we have tackled and now have solutions that make life better are:

If you have an open boat is part of everyday life is to regularly go and scoop the boat. A normal summer involves several thousand litres of rainwater to be poured. The solar bilge pump means that you do not have to worry about scooping the boat

When you have an engine with electric start, you are always worried if the battery has enough “cream” to be able to start the engine. The maintenance charger constantly replenishes the energy content of the battery

When you have an electric outboard, you have to carry the battery for charging. The solution is a solar panel that can be mounted on the tops, which you can sit on and flexibly expand from 1 to 5 panels as needed.

More innovative products for small boats are under development.

Mantaray Hydrofoil Craft presents one.fly, our first market available product with Foiltwister technology. It is a small hydrofoil boat with a design made by The Mannerfelt Design Team. One:fly can carry up to four people. It flies about eight inches above the surface which means that it can be used with a standard outboard engine (petrol or electric). Measured fuel consumption with a 30 hp petrol engine is 0,20 liter/nm at a cruising speed of 24 knots. And with an electric motor the range will be 2 hours at 25 knots. It can easily be transported on a standard boat trailer.
