Electric motors, systems and batteries from EPTechnologies

 Motors / EPTechnologies

At EPTechnologies we live by the KISS principle. This stands for: Keep it Simple, Stupid! -and that’s how we design our systems.

We believe in open architecture. You will not buy over-complicated systems or black boxes that no one, except the manufacturer, understands. At EPTechnologies we want the customer to see what’s inside and to be able to understand how the system works. We select only the finest materials and products and we are partnering only with the best in the industry.

POWERBOAT SYSTEMS

DROP IN UNIT
A unit that fits Z-drive (Azimuth Thruster), jet drive, and shaft drives. Each propulsion system has its advantages and is chosen based on the specific requirements of the vessel and its intended use.

  • Z, Jet & Shaft Drive
  • Power 50 – 400 kW kW
  • RPM 2000 – 6000
  • Voltage 48 – 800 VDC

DROP IN UNIT ON FRAME
We have developed a system to meet the shipyards needs for an efficient and safe way to build an electric boat with no difficulties.

A drop-in unit on a frame enhances convenience, maintenance accessibility, and versatility in power boat design and operation.

EPT will guide you through the process.

  • Power 40 – 400 kW
  • Battery 70 – 500 kWh
  • Voltage 48 – 800 VDC
  • RPM 2000 – 6000
  • Charger, DC/DC, throttle, cooling system, shore power, display, etc
  • Quick and easy installation

FALCON OUTBOARD
The Falcon features a custom-made propeller, removing the need for an exhaust system. Its torpedo-shaped tail cone boosts efficiency, enhancing both performance and energy savings. With customizable leg lengths, it suits various applications, including hydrofoil boats, with extendable extension tubes tailored to shipyard requirements. The design moves only the lower part, reducing bracket weight and allowing for compact dual-engine setups. (Available for purchase through dealers and shipyards.)

Power: 130 kW / 230
RPM: 4000 RPM / 4300 RPM propeller Peak
Voltage: 400 – 800 VDC
360° Rotating Propeller Hub

BOAT CONTROL
Whether relaxing on the sofa or sitting in the galley, your data is never further away than your mobile/tablet. The app seamlessly integrates with NMEA 2000 data, enabling the display of tank and battery levels, depth sounder readings, wind data, and more on connected devices like apps and iPads. It features a compact box equipped with 14 channels for controlling various functions such as pumps, lights, and chargers.

SAILDRIVE
Our innovative saildrives offer an entire electric propulsion system with a powerful electric motor, high-efficiency lithium batteries and utilizing the maximum energy during the sail and battery recharge using the Turnable mechanism.

SD RACING SAILDRIVE
Features a permanent magnet motor in a redesigned sail drive system.
The leg is slimmer and more efficient than traditional legs, reducing bulk without losing power.
The folding propeller is 40% more efficient than feathering propellers due to its airfoil shape.
The leg is adjustable to any system, with modifications done in-house .

TURNTABLE SAILDRIVE
Our pioneering Electric Turnable Saildrive presents a comprehensive electric propulsion solution featuring a 360-degree rotation capability, a powerful electric motor, cutting-edge lithium batteries for high efficiency, and optimized energy utilization through the Turnable mechanism during both sailing and battery recharging phases.

The key advantage of choosing our method is that no additional thruster is required behind the boat. Using our Saildrive technology, we can maintain speeds that vary between 16 to 20 knots.

We can alter the system based on the boat’s type, weight, length, and requirements.
