The centre of the show is the Arsenale complex, where a 2,000 man enterprise could turn out a ship every day during Venice’s five century reign as a maritime empire, and an entire Italian forest was dedicated to supplying the wood.
In this century, marine fast charging network Aqua superPower is supplying two high speed chargers for the electric boats that will line the P2 Pontoon of the complex, and a Green Parade will have those electric boats cruising through the historic canals of ‘La Serenissima‘ (the most serene city).

The Green Parade is on Friday May 29 and kicks off three days dedicated to electric boating, winding up with the presentation of a number of awards on Sunday including:
- Environmental Award: for the vessel with the lowest environmental impact
- Technological Award: for the most innovative technical solutions and
- Venice Award: for the vessel generating the lowest wake impact
In this Plugboats Guide to Electric Boat Exhibitors we highlight some of the electric Sailboats, Power Boats, Watertoys, Jetskis, Motors and Batteries that will be showing at the Salone, along with a Directory of all electric boats exhibitors that includes links to their websites for further information.

Electric Sailboats
Before we begin: the new E-Lektra propulsion system at Venice:
Beneteau, Dufour, Excess, Fountaine Pajot, Jeanneau, Lagoon

Just last month, (April 2026), two of the world’s largest sailboat builders – Groupe Beneteau and Fountaine Pajot Group – announced the creation of E-Lektra Marine, a 50/50 joint venture that will supply electric and hybrid propulsion systems to sailboat manufacturers.
The E-Lektra technology will offer solutions – full electric or hybrid – for all sailboats from 9 to 24 metres (29 – 80 ft) that includes motors, batteries and/or generators, along with optimized onboard energy management of all inputs and output: solar panels, motors, generators, ‘hotel load’ appliances and equipment, shore power connections…

Their first customers are seven major brands that are all exhibiting at Venice and represent 60% of the global market: Beneteau, Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans, Fountaine Pajot Yachts, Dufour, Excess, Jeanneau and Lagoon.
Some of these boatyards already offer electric / hybrid propulsion, some have experimented with the technologies for demo models but not offered them to the public, and some are ready to jump on board with E-Lektra as the desire for alternatives to diesel motors continues to grow worldwide. The manufacturers and models at Venice that are available as electric / hybrid with E-Lektra systems are marked in the highlights below.
Bavaria Yachts – C42e
Bavaria Yachts took over a window factory in Germany in 1978 and has been building sailing yachts ever since. Known for its price‐performance ratio, Bavaria added powerboats to its line in 2001 and began its E-Line of electric sailboats last autumn (2025) under a partnership with EPTechnologies of Denmark.
The popular BAVARIA C38, C42 (showing at Venice), and C46 models are all now available with EPT’s state-of-the-art electric or hybrid propulsion. An efficient saildrive is connected to a powerful electric motor — delivering 25kW for the C38e and C42e, and 37kW for the C46e. Standard battery capacity for the C38e and C42e is 18.2 kWh (expandable with extra packs), enabling more than 50 nautical miles on pure electric power. At the heart of the system is the innovative EPTechnologies Multibox that manages and integrates all system operations, including battery charging. Bavaria Yachts website EPTechnologies website
Beneteau – Oceanis 34.1 (E-Lektra system)
Sleeker, lighter, with more sail area, and more space in the bow than its predecessor for the owner’s cabin, the Oceanis 34.1 promises unforgettable days out on the water. Once again, Marc Lombard and NAUTA Design have combined their efforts to produce a unique design concept, true to the spirit of the 7th generation Oceanis range.
The deck layout has been redesigned to ensure maximum comfort and safety when moving around the boat, taking the helm and for onboard living when at anchor. The ropes for the halyard and the furling system are forward of the cockpit while there is a winch on each side for the helmsman to set the foresails. The result is an uncluttered cockpit ideal for relaxation, with easy access to the aft swim platform. Beneteau website
Dufour – 37 44 (E-Lektra system)
A luxury yacht builder for over 60 years, Dufour is already a strong proponent of electric propulsion. In fact, even before the introduction of E-Lektra, Dufour offered all of their models except one with an electric / hybrid system that includes hydro-generation and solar panels.
At Venice they will be showing a number of models. Each has its own features and benefits and is designed for different types of sailing and sailors. They range from the Dufour 37, built for family coastal cruising and enjoying life on the water up close and personal, to the Dufour 48, which is available in three, four or five cabin layouts and accommodates up to twelve people in spacious comfort. At Venice the Dufour yachts will be presented by local affiliate Eurosail Yacht Dufour website
Excess Catamarans – Excess 11 (E-Lektra system)
The Excess 11 is the company’s flagship model, known for combining the feel of a racing boat with the space and aesthetics of a cruising boat. Winner of numerous awards, it was designed by VPLP design, one of the most renowned naval architecture companies in the world, with exterior by Patrick le Quément and interiors by Nauta Design. The Excess 11 has won multiple major awards, including SAIL’s Best Boats and Boat of the Year from Cruising World. At the Venice Show, the Excess 11 will be on display at the mooring of Parallel 43 Excess Catamarans website
Fountaine Pajot (E-Lektra system)
It was unclear at time of publishing exactly which Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans would be showing in Venice, but they will be presented by Eurosail Yacht. There are a few notable FP catamarans that are already available with an electric or hybrid system. The New 41 and the New 44, which both debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival last September, and the Aura 51, which was winner of the Electric Sailboat category of the Gussies 2024 International Electric Boat Awards. Fountaine Pajot monohulls include the Samana 59, which has been available with hybrid propulsion since 2023. Fountaine Pajot website
Lagoon – Lagoon 38 (E-Lektra system)

The Lagoon 38 has been designed to provide the atmosphere and experience of life on a much larger catamaran, with a modular approach that accommodates up to ten people in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Much of this is enabled by a new hull form, and the boat has received multiple awards, including Best Boats SAIL winner and Multihull of the Year 2026 in the Under 45’ category. Writing about the easy access to the swim platforms, SAIL Magazine Charter Editor Zuzana Prochazka said “It seems exterior designer Patrick Le Quément resorted to sorcery when creating such appealing and practical styling.” Lagoon website

Taiga
Taiga has been the leader in electric jetskis by taking the electric system they developed for snowmobiles and adapting it to their personal watercraft, the Orca. They have also pursued a strategy of continual product and performance improvement.
Last year they revealed a new battery that optimizes fluid flow across lithium-ion cell surface hotspots to increase thermal transfer rates and afford better temperature uniformity within the battery pack. That’s an important thing for snowmobiles in cold weather and jetskis in hot weather and most importantly, enables up to a 65% increase in continuous battery power for the Orca in warm weather marine environments. They also updated their app by adding features like live encrypted GPS vehicle tracking, remote access and control, remote charging management, remote diagnostics and servicing and over-the-air update to software.
At Venice Taiga will have two Orca models available for viewing and test drives. Taiga website

Sealence – solid state battery
The Italian company Sealence is an innovator and pioneer in both electric boat motors and batteries. Their DeepSpeed Powertain is a propellerless hydrojet system that is designed to power yachts and ferries from 30 to 60 feet.
On the battery side, they have one of the highest energy density packs (energy density is how much electricity can be stored in a given weight) in the marine and maritime world: 245 Watt hours per kilogram. What is remarkable is that an energy density that high is usually only found when measuring individual battery cells (like AA batteries)). The Sealence density is for a battery pack of 75 kWh and includes the weight of all the non-energy storing materials like adhesives, wiring and coverings, making this a very viable pack for large vessles going considerable distances.
