Arc was founded in 2021 in Los Angeles, USA by a team of rocket engineers, EV experts, and avid boaters with the goal of electrifying the marine industry. They began with recreational boating and delivered their first model, the Arc One wake boat, in less than two years. In designing their battery packs, powertrain, thermal control systems and software in-house, they were able to then quickly move to launching the Arc Sport for a broader market, followed by a center console model, the Arc Coast. They are also applying their technology to tugboats and other commercial craft.

All boats are built from scratch, blending modern aerospace design and manufacturing techniques with traditional marine craftsmanship. Advanced software adds smart boating features like a touchscreen helm, intelligent ballast, integrated cameras and software-assisted captaining for ease and precision.   Arc website

Flux Marine
Flux Marine’s clean sheet approach to developing and designing their Flux 115 HP electric outboard has made them one of the leading innovators in US electric boat motor technology. A closed loop cooling system keeps everything operating at ideal temperatures without the need for seawater intake. Instead of cogs and gears they developed a belt drive system to deliver instant torque to the propeller quietly and efficiently. The dual strut lower unit that the belt operates within also allows seawater cooling. A modular battery architecture adapts to a range of boats.

Two well-established and highly regarded boatbuilders, Highfield and Scout, partner with Flux to deliver quieter, cleaner and smarter boating experiences to their recreational customers in the RIB and sport/fishing markets. Flagship pontoons now offer Flux as an option on their premium pontoons and customized Garvey hulls with Flux electric outboards are making their mark in the workboat segment.   Flux website

Genesis Marine Technologies
Genesis Marine Technologies is a powertrain technology company that entered the marine market with the Genesis 24, a production-ready hybrid-electric wakesurf boat engineered for sustained high-load operation and all-day use. In the hybrid system, the electric motor drives the propeller at all times with the gasoline engine functioning solely as an auxiliary power unit. There is no mechanical connection between the fossil fuel engine and propeller.

A typical 24 foot, 12,000 pound wakesurf boat consumes 40–50 US gallons of gasoline per day (150 – 190 L), while the Genesis 24 uses only 5–10 gallons (18 – 36 L). Pure electric mode enables surfing for 4 hours with out stopping. In hybrid mode customers can surf all day with no refuelling interruptions while the system charges dynamically or with set modes like Eco / Normal / Boost.  Genesis website

Greenline Yachts
Greenline is one of the pioneers of electric and hybrid yachting, creating the world’s first production hybrid yacht, and having delivered more than1,000 vessels around the world. Their fleet combines advanced hybrid and solar technologies with timeless design and exceptional craftsmanship to shape a smarter, more sustainable future for yachting without compromising comfort or performance.

Read about the all-electric Greenline 42 with Ingenity mCrate drive

In August of 2025 Greenline worked with Florida’s Ingenity propulsion experts to deliver the United States’ first fully electric Greenline 42. The yacht has twin Ingenity mCrate motors, which are designed to be a standardized ‘drop-in’ that allows boat builders to easily electrify models, but are also versatile enough to be customized for specific installations. The Greenline 42 has two mCrates, each with 135kW (185 hp). They are fed by a 400 volt, 189 kWh lithium NMC battery pack. On the roof of the main deck are 6 solar panels that can generate a total of 1.6kWp.  Greenline website  Ingenity website

RAD Propulsion
RAD Propulsion is a UK company best known for its RAD 40 electric outboard, with 40kW of power (≈55 hp). Unlike traditional outboards, where the entire motor swivels to steer the boat, the upper head and motor unit of the RAD 40 is stationary while the lower unit (lower leg) can rotate 180°. That frees up some space on the deck, gives a boat a sleek low profile and enables easy handling and docking.

In November of 2025 they introduced a larger model, the RAD 120 (120 kW / ≈170 hp) and the RAD Console – a container with battery and associated electronics that makes for easy installation of the RAD system on both new boats and refits. RAD Propulsion is represented in the US by Charged Marine.RAD Propulsion website

Silent-Yachts
Silent Yachts first started exploring the possibilities of an ocean going yacht powered by the sun in 2004. They launched their first boat in 2009 after 15,000 nautical miles of research, then did more research and improved that iteration over the next five years. The resulting (and now iconic) Silent 60 was the world’s first serial production solar electric yacht and its updated, slightly longer sister the Silent 62 is still popular in the company’s line-up of seven models. The Silent 60 was winner of the Gustave Trouvé Electric Boat Awards in 2022 and the SY62 3-Deck was named “Most Efficient Yacht” at the 2024 World Yachts Trophies in Cannes

Read about the Silent 62 transAtlantic journey

Late last year the new owners of a Silent Yachts 62 Tri-Deck – which they named ‘100%‘ – sailed the boat across the Atlantic with Vice-Chairman of Silent-Yachts Steve Bell at the helm ably asisted by crew members Will and Mike. The team left Gibraltar on November 14, 2025 and landed in Antigua on December 12, having covered over 3300 nautical miles (6115 kilometres / 3800 miles).  Silent-Yachts

Taiga
Orca electric jetskiTaiga has become the leader in electric jetskis by taking the electric system they developed for snowmobiles and adapting it to their personal watercraft, the Orca. They have also pursued a strategy of continual product and performance improvement.

Last year they revealed a new technology that makes for better temperature uniformity within a battery pack. The optimizing of fluid flow across any hot spots of lithium-ion cell surfaces increases thermal transfer rates –  an important thing for both snowmobiles in cold weather and jetskis in hot weather. In warm weather marine environments it enables an increase in continuous battery power of up to 65% for the Orca. Taiga also updated their app by adding features like live encrypted GPS vehicle tracking, remote access and control, remote charging management, remote diagnostics and servicing and over-the-air updates to software.    Taiga website
