Leisure and Recreational winners at the Electric and Hybrid Marine Awards
The Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo took place Jun 23 -26 at the RAI Centre in Amsterdam with over 150 exhibitors showcasing the best and the latest in lower carbon propulsion systems, including battery electric, hydrogen fuel cell, hydrogen combustion, alternative fuels and many combinations thereof.
The show leans towards solutions for the larger industrial and commercial vessels used for shipping or ferrying, but as we said in our ‘Plugboats Guide to the E&HME 2025‘ there were a number of manufacturers there who also serve leisure and recreational marine.
So it was with the show awards presented on the first evening. There were nine categories recognizing and honouring the world’s manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, innovations and products in the electric and hybrid marine propulsion arena.
Many of the awards were almost exclusively for commercial vessels and associated technology, but the nomineees that are also applicale to leisure / recreation boats and yachts fared well in a few categories.
The awards are coordinated by Electric & Hybrid Marine Technology International magazine and officiated by a panel of judges comprising some of the world’s leading maritime journalists, industry experts and academics.
Below are the nominees and winners in each category Thank you to the magazine for the awards and a great show, and congratulations to all nominees and winners.

The next award of the night went to E-Force Marine, which impressed the jury with the Aurora e30. The cutting-edge electric, high-efficiency catamaran has been specified to minimize environmental impact in every aspect of its design and operation.
“We’re honored to win this award,” said founder and CEO Al Haghayegh. “It all started when I decided to convert my own boat to electric. I just wanted something cleaner, quieter, and more fun on the water. That simple idea turned into E-Force Marine, and eventually the Aurora e30. Our goal wasn’t just to build an electric boat, but to create something that’s truly better for the environment and for the boating experience. Getting this kind of recognition on a global stage tells us we’re on the right path. This wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our team.”
